Aimhigher Hampshire and IOW

The Aimhigher project provides all the information needed to get young people started on the road into HE, including links to all the key websites.

The overall vision of Aimhigher (Hampshire & Isle of Wight) is to make an effective contribution to widening participation in higher education in the South East Region of England and thereby support the national campaign to increase participation for those aged 18-30 by 2010.

By having a local group, teachers and pupils can both access the national resources and can draw from local knowledge and activities to reinforce the project. This local resource had to be clearly part of the national activity but to have an identity of its own and one that could reflect the more dynamic nature of the resource.

The broad remit of Aimhigher demands links to myriad external sites, agencies and resources all of which are easily built in on the Virtual schools platform.
