Virtual Schools



Virtual Schools was developed and launched by 8th Day Studios in 2002. The Virtual Schools Platform provides a unique fully managed web environment designed specifically for the Education sector.

Schools and colleges are able to utilise their Virtual School to improve open and secure communications among governors, teachers, pupils and parents on both a one-to-one and one-to-many basis, facilitating the development of both e-Learning and e-Assessment programs.

As well as providing a tailored design for the school website, the Virtual Schools platform allows the school to easily manage the content for itself so it always has the latest most important information on site.

e-Commerce for the school becomes a reality as Virtual Schools has the functionality to provide consumer friendly catalogue and shopping basket.

As schools adapt to and adopt the latest remote/e-Learning initiatives Virtual Schools also incorporates a straight-forward and flexible solution that maximises the schools control and creative use of their PLE (personal learning environment) and fulfills the teachers requirements to use both their own already tried and trusted resources and other proprietary teaching aids.

All these resources are web based and they can be accessed anywhere that has an Internet connection and at any time without compromising the integrity and security of the school's internal information system.
